If you’ve still thinking about becoming a Mentor with Sevita Host Home, this post is for you.

If you’ve still thinking about becoming a Mentor with Sevita Host Home, this post is for you.

Taking time to rest and recharge is essential for everyone—including Host Home Mentors. In Sevita’s Host Home program, vacations aren’t just possible—they’re fully supported with thoughtful planning and flexibility to ensure continuity of care and meaningful experiences for all.

Every situation is unique. While some individuals may not be able to travel, Mentors can feel confident knowing trusted support is available while they are away. And for others, vacations become unforgettable shared experiences filled with connection, growth, and joy.

For some, travel is more than a getaway—it’s a way to build lasting memories together.

Meet Sandra, a dedicated Mentor with Arizona Mentor. For over 17 years, she has opened her heart and home to Elizabeth and Kristal, creating a bond that goes far beyond caregiving—they are truly family.

Together, they’ve embraced a spirit of adventure. In 2024, they spent a month exploring the East Coast, traveling through New York, Washington, DC, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. One highlight was a full week in Myrtle Beach, where they enjoyed sunny days by the ocean, peaceful sunset walks, shopping, and time together on the boardwalk. For Elizabeth and Kristal, it was truly the trip of a lifetime.

And the adventures continue. Their 2025 summer plans include a family cruise, complete with a four-night stay and exciting stops at Catalina Island and Ensenada. Travel is something they plan together each year—especially for birthdays—making every trip feel personal and special. From picking out souvenirs to enjoying the journey itself, every moment matters. For Kristal, even the simple joy of making her bed in a hotel is part of the fun.

With love, laughter, and a shared sense of adventure, Sandra, Elizabeth, and Kristal beautifully demonstrate what it means to create a life together.

Whether Mentors choose to travel alongside the individuals they support or take time away with the help of trusted backup care, Sevita is there every step of the way—ensuring support, peace of mind, and the opportunity to create meaningful moments that last a lifetime.

Depending on the state, you may hear different terms for Host Home services. While the titles vary, each one reflects the same core idea: safe, supportive living in a family environment.
